Our quietly busy therapy centre which saw a gentle stream of therapists and clients come and go throughout the day – bringing positivity, support and healing – is now still and silent.
We are all at home, managing the sudden strange and worrying events isolated from our usual support networks.
We are trying our best to deal with the challenges that will be arising for us. No one is untouched.
We will all be worrying about the health of our family, friends and neighbours. If we are alone, we may be worrying about our own vulnerability in the event of becoming ill.
We may also be worrying about how to make ends meet, and what the future is going to look like. Many of us will be wondering how long this will continue and if we will be able to remain okay for the duration.
The changes to our lives are so fundamental and wide ranging, they are making us pause and reflect on the way we were living up to this point, without question. Our response to this crisis will be as unique as we are.
Our therapists are at home, socially isolating and playing their part until it is safe to offer their therapies at Horizon again.
Some therapists can offer online sessions (e.g. counselling, CBT child therapy) and may be able to work with you before we re-open. Or, if you need any advice or information, we may be able to offer guidance. Just contact us.
Wherever you are, and whatever you are going through right now, please take care and remember that this will pass. If we try our best to be kind to ourselves and others, this ordeal will hopefully be more bearable.
