As the New Year has nearly begun, it’s a good time to reflect on the last one, while looking forward to 2017. We’ve had a lovely year at Horizon, with some exciting new therapies being offered along side our time honoured treatments. Not all of these have made it onto the website yet, so these are a few of the newcomers.
Bel Spencer is able to offer the Alexander Technique and Spinal Touch Therapy for those who are seeking to improve their posture or address back problems. Our spine is literally centrally placed in our bodies, and is therefore often the key to improving physical wellbeing.
Judy Burroughs offers a different approach – Shiatsu for Wellbeing massage, which is a physical therapy that supports and strengthens the body’s natural ability to heal and balance itself. It works on the whole person – not just with the physical body, but also with the psychological, emotional and spiritual aspects of being.
Joe Parkhouse is able to offer osteopathy, a traditional treatment for any muscle or joint problems that you may be experiencing.
We have also welcomed on board some counsellors who are specialised in working with children and young people. Modern life puts ever more pressure on young people and help to build resilience could prevent mental health difficulties escalating. Check out the list of therapists, or email Horizon for more therapists who could work with your child or teenager.
Let me also remind you of all our established therapists who offer such a great range of treatments, from aromatherapy to reiki, mindfulness to hypnotherapy, and of course counselling and CBT. They are all experienced, professional, caring people, and it’s been a pleasure to work alongside them.
